Some of my favorite times with my boys, when they were little,
was holding them in my arms and reading a childrens story book.
It gave me a chance to spend some precious time with them and now I get
to enjoy reading to my beautiful granddaughters.
It is proven that reading to a child has wonderful benefits of improving their vocabulary and developing their creativity and attention span. The memories I have made and watching their little eyes light up,. listening to their excitement and answering their questions are treasures that I will hold onto forever. I have always loved telling stories and encouraging the imagination of children. A book can help teach them a life lesson or just make them laugh. I have enjoyed creating the following children’s books about my little farm friends. I love hearing my son’s and granddaughters enjoying this time together reading. I look forward to the day when my granddaughters can sit and read the books to me.
The following books are based on some of our adventures here on our farm with my farm friends. I watch Spencer, the goats and duck, Ruger and Dixie and our chickens and the stories just unfold.
I hope there are many more adventures ahead to write about and I hope you enjoy reading these first three books with a special little one.

I wrote the Children story book Spencer the Pony for my grandchildren and great
nieces and nephews. "Spencer the Pony sees a Monster!" When you look at Spencer
and see him playing in the field you can easily see where this book came
from. He always has deer, rabbit and squirrel
near him and he loves to chase butterflies.
I am sure this is the first children story books about Spencer and his
exciting adventures. It is available on Amazon, in kindle form and paper back.

Spencer the Pony thinks he see's a monster! His friends keep telling him there are not any monsters but he know what he saw in the water. His friends know he scared, so they take the time to show him together what is really in the water..
Spencer The Pony came to live at our farm in the summer of 2018. He was about 6 months old. He's a miniature horse but most of us call him a pony. He will not get very big. Miniature horses stand only 34" to the wither. That is the top of his shoulder. I bought him for my granddaughter to play with and he ended up being my pet.
He is not very well behaved and always in trouble. He is curious and spunky. Spencer is always doing crazy things like taking off with the rake when I am cleaning the barn or grabbing the spool of electric fence ribbon and running down the field with it unrolling behind him. He loves to get a bath but as soon as he does, he will find the dirtiest, muddiest place he can to take a roll. He is curious about everything and wants to be the center of attention. He loves to have his back scratched and loves to run around and kick in the field.
This is Spencer The Pony
on September 30, 2022.
He is over 4 years old now.
He will lead and lets my granddaughter sit on him. My husband bought me a buggy and a set of harness for him. I drove him around a little with the bridle and reigns but haven't put him in the buggy. I plan on it soon though. He loves attention and I think he will do great.
A true story of a duck... well most of it. Quack is lost her family has left and she is all alone. She is looking for a family to love and to be loved by. This little duck touched our hearts and the hearts of our friends. Did you know Peking ducks can live for 15 years and will imprint on you. They don't forget who shows them love.
This Children's story book is about family and the fact that sometimes friends become your closes family.
