Country Cooking
in my opinion not only fills you up but is food that will give you the needed
energy and nutrition to keep you going.
It should taste good and be made
with simple natural ingredients. These
dishes can feed your family and let them know they are loved. They will taste the time and care you took with selecting the ingredients to make sure they have the best, safe and most delicious food to eat. Every detail is accounted for from how the food was grown to how it is prepared. When it is placed on the table and your family is enjoying their meal you will have the confidence to know they are being well taken care of as they only worry about how good it taste and filling their bellies.

Important information every cook

Tips on storing food and safe temperatures for storing and serving.
Food is almost always the center of a family get together. It helps us celebrate our happy times and sooth the soul during sadness. Holidays and events are planned around the menu. For me it all started with helping my mom in the kitchen when she canned and cooked for our family. Here is an article that helps explain how cooking is Therapy for body and soul.
I have never been much of a baker but I can make some yummy deserts. I am very interested in feeding my family healthy nutritional meals. I have done a great deal of catering over the years. I worked with some excellent cooks and not that long ago I took a culinary class at our local tech center to gain a little more insight in the professional world of cooking. I am one of those cooks who will follow a recipe only once and the second time I am adding something to give it my own flavor. I enjoy comfort food that just makes you feel loved and happy. My mom made us blackberry syrup for our pancakes because she wanted to give us a sweet loving treat and Grandma Fluharty would work for days preparing for the holiday a delicious dinner followed by homemade desserts and candies. I have enjoyed doing the same thing for my family over the years and now I would like to pass on some of these wonderful recipes that I have used with you to prepare for your loved ones. Try it my way and then add your own touch to make it your country cooking.
Happy Cookin'…….
